REA Verification methods are based on international standards. If the bar code cannot be read or at least not as efficient as required then efficiency of the logistic process is reduced. We present you the newest bar code testing sets. We Inform you about bar code quality in accordance with the today valid standard specifications and let you know that possible errors can be eliminated.
If such an error appear, first it should be controlled if the quality of the bar code corresponds to the quality agreements. If the bar code quality corresponds to the requirements, then the read technology must be controlled. Please check that the readers correspond also to the standards and so that theoretically always it should be able to read the error from bar code. We can give you some tips about possible errors:
- Code size is not coordinated with the depth sharpness range scanners.
- Conveying speed is too high for the assigned scanner.
- Code is not in the range of the scanner jet (positioning problem) etc.

The REA Check 3 is an universal bar code Verifier for easy verification of all standard symbologies.

The REA Check 3 is an universal bar code Verifier for easy verification of all standard symbologies. The verification is performed according ISO/IEC 15416 with classification into grades 4,3,2,1 and 0 as well as according traditional method according symbology standards. Verification methods and required quality grade can be preset.
EAN 128 data content checker including ”best before use date” is included in standard version at no extra costs.

Options:

REA TransWin: A data capture program for Windows PC´s. This enables the verification reports to be displayed, saved and printed.

REA Article look up: This option allows an article description to be shown on the display of the REA Check 3. Each article can be assigned with price and date fields. The date fields will be compared with the date in a EAN 128 barcode. If the encoded date is outside of the range specified in the article look up the REA Check 3 will provide an error message. This function is very useful to control bar code quality and i.e. best before use dates.

Comparator: This option allows the comparison between a mastercode and the verified code. If the code content is not identical the REA Check 3 provides an error message.

Printer: REA Print HS 32: a graphic thermal direct printer. Paper width is 58mm. The power supply of the REA Check 3 is used to operate the printer. The Printer is connected directly to the REA Verifier. No PC or additional hardware is required.

The REA ScanCheck II is a universal high performance bar code verifier which meets to ISO standards. Automatic size determination provides easy use and user independent verification results. The measuring system is based on a laser scanner system adopted to the requirements for verification. This technique leads to a contactless measurement. The power supply is provided by standard AA rechargeable batteries.

This allows a fully portable operation. The data interface is a standard RS232 connection. This can be used to connect to a standard PC or the REA Print TD32 report printer. EAN 128 Data content checker is included in the standard version at no extra cost.

Options:

Optional Codes: Some bar codes which are very specific are available with this option only. Optional Codes are Pharma Code and Mini Pharma Code, Codabar Monarch and Codabar ANSI, HIBC.

The REA PC-Scan incorporates a Software package and a measuring device (Laser Device). The Laser Device has a built in measuring unit with a diode red light laser driven by a motor. Measurement are transferred to the Software for evaluation.

The evaluation is divided into two parts. One part according to ISO/IEC 15416 (CEN or ANSI evaluation) the other part according to Symbology specifications and/or standards. In case of EAN Codes the international Standard ISO/IEC 15420 is the reference for the traditional evaluation.

Against the standards and specifications measured values are presented clearly on the screen.

The Screen shows the two evaluation methods at the same time. ISO/IEC 15416 method evaluates in detail the reflectance profile with different aspects. Quality is presented in 5 steps. The user is able to preset a quality requirement according to the application or material characteristics.

The traditional evaluation gives detailed metric results, bar width and positions as extreme and average values direct on the screen. In a table detail values for each bar and space.

As well as printed codes the REA PC-Scan is able to measure positive and negative Film Masters according to ISO/IEC 15421.
